Whether I’m in need of a quick caffeine fix or a place to relax and catch up with the gals, the coffee shops local to Lafayette are the perfect place. With a variety of intricate drinks and baked goods, there’s always something for every occasion. Below, I’ve listed some shops in the Greater Lafayette area (and even left some fantastic recommendations!) 

Greyhouse Coffee

Greyhouse is a staple coffee shop in the Lafayette area. It was started in 2008 by Campus House, a church located on Purdue University’s campus. Besides their wonderful coffee, Greyhouse is a not-for-profit shop, which makes me appreciate it even more! When a customer purchases delicious coffee or pastries, the money goes toward keeping the shop running or to local charities in the Greater Lafayette area. I suggest ordering their signature drink called the GreyCapp with a delicious crepe for a snack! There are several locations, but the main location is located at 100 Northwestern Ave, West Lafayette, IN.  

Copper Moon Coffee

This fun shop has a unique theme- outer space! Everything, from the decor to the names of the items, is related to space, making Copper Moon out of this word. This shop is family-owned and they even roast and sell their own coffee beans! If you don’t care for coffee, they offer a variety of smoothies and frappes to go over the moon for. Personally, I love the turkey with gouda sandwich for an on-the-go breakfast. With ample locations around the Lafayette area, there are plenty of options to choose from. One of my favorite spots is located at 4729 Meijer Ct, Lafayette, IN. 

Cafe Literato 

Cafe Literato’s ambiance will fit the mood for all occasions. With a fun, yet soothing environment, the shop is a hot spot for everyone. Aside from an amazing coffee menu (I highly recommend the Three Kings; a delicious mixture of vanilla, caramel, and hazelnut. Yum!), they offer fantastic food, including pizza! One of my favorites is the margarita pizza, which you can never go wrong with. Cafe Literato is located across from the Purdue Golf Course at 1920 Northwestern Ave, West Lafayette, IN. 

Indie Coffee Roasters

This has to be one of my new favorite places. If you love the more modern and sleek atmosphere on your coffee ventures, this is the place for you! Indie Coffee Roasters’ flagship location is located in Carmel, IN, but they decided to expand to a new apartment complex near Purdue’s campus. This is the shop if you’re looking to grab a fancy cup of coffee, sit down and talk, or catch up on some work. They even offer super fun coffee merchandise to grab on your way out! You can find this shop located at 1501 West State Street, West Lafayette, IN. 

Sweet Revolution Bake Shop 

I know sometimes I have the biggest sweet tooth in the world! I love coming here if I am craving a sweet treat such as a macaron or even some delicious bread pudding. Not only is this a fun place to come and have some treats, it is also a fantastic location to bring your kiddos! There are ample options for your little one to pick out a special post-dinner treat. Sweet Revolution started out as a little bakery only selling at local Farmers Markets and festivals. It wasn’t until 2017 that they got their brick-and-mortar bakery. Go and check them out located at 109 N 5th Street, Lafayette, IN. 

Revéille Coffee Bar

This french-inspired coffee shop is the perfect place for a quick caffeine fix or a long, relaxing stay! The beautiful setting of Revéille makes your coffee endeavors all the better. They offer a variety of specialty coffee drinks, locally made pastries, and donuts! Expand your coffee taste buds by trying out their café au lait, or stick to your familiar coffee order with a traditional latte. Either way, you cannot go wrong! Go check out this shop any day of the week at 835 Main Street, Lafayette, IN. 

Gipsy Joe Coffee Shop

Get your coffee on the go with Gipsy Joe! This cute, traveling coffee truck visits a variety of areas in the Greater Lafayette area. Gipsy Joe serves a whole menu of specialty coffees, baked goods, merchandise, and more! If you enjoyed your coffee enough (and I know you will!), you can purchase bags of their flavored coffee beans to take home with you. From Apple Crumble Cake to White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, there is sure to be a flavor that suits your fancy! “Awaken your journey” (how cute is this slogan?!) by checking out this truck next time they’re near you.
