Art and the outdoors? I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t think of a better combination for the kiddos! The City of Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department’s Art in the Park is set to return this summer, showcasing a variety of unique arts programs that bring fun to families. I’m ecstatic to partner with Lafayette Parks and Recreation to sponsor this growing event!

The Art in the Park festival travels to various parks in the Greater Lafayette area to provide a free, family-friendly art experience throughout the summer. Each event features local arts and crafts, interactive art, live music, and activities for the kids. The free kid’s craft gives the youngsters the creative outlet they need and the lively atmosphere allows parents to interact, making it an enjoyable outing for adults and kids alike! Enjoy the awe-worthy pottery, jewelry, and textiles from local artisans as you munch on delicious bites from local food vendors and hear the melodies of musicians.

Art in the Park’s final festival of 2021 attracted nearly 800 visitors and the Parks and Recreation Department aims to attract even more this season. Come escape into the arts with the family and experience all the things Lafayette artists have to offer at Art in the Park!
